Our client, a top ten “Big Law” firm, is seeking a peer firm experienced (minimum 5 years) Career Coach to join a robust Business Development silo and provide supportive, trusted advisor support to lawyers through one-on-one career coaching sessions, to include practice strategy, career planning, networking opportunities and more. As a key member of the career development team at this top firm, this role works closely with lawyers, firm alumni, clients and other constituencies.
Reporting to the Career Development Manager, this role supports expansion and enhancement of the program’s written materials and resources as well as video and other program offerings. Responsible for staying current on regional job markets on trends in corporate, nonprofit and government sectors, the Career Coach will assist with measuring career development program analytics and identifying key takeaways for application over time.
The ideal candidate must have superior interpersonal and communication skills. A strong writer and a good listener, this individual must establish and maintain trust, confidentiality and exercise discretion at all times. Strong organizational and project management skills are required. An ability to take initiative , demonstrate strategic business acumen and work as part of a team is required.
JD is required. Experience advising on legal careers, as a coach or counselor is preferred. Individuals with a minimum of five years’ experience in an Am Law 25 firm, other professional services , higher education or executive search may be considered. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $170,000–$225,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, and education. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
