Legal eBilling Specialist – minimum 3 years law firm experience

Our client, a respected law firm known for its professionalism and team-oriented culture, is seeking an experienced Legal eBilling and Collections Specialist with a minimum of three years of law firm billing experience to join their in-office accounting team. Working closely with the accounting team and attorneys across the firm, the Specialist will coordinate all aspects of client billing and collections.

Proficiency across multiple eBilling platforms—such as TyMetrix 360, CounselLink, Collaborati, Legal Tracker, Passport, or Brightflag—is essential, and experience with Juris software is preferred. A solid working knowledge of LEDES billing formats, strong math aptitude, and proficiency in Excel, Adobe Pro, Word, and Outlook are required.

Responsibilities include ensuring accurate client and matter setup in the billing system, submitting and reviewing invoices, and maintaining compliance with Outside Counsel Billing Guidelines. You will also manage eBilling tasks such as rate submissions, rejected invoice resolutions, accrual reporting, and vendor payment coordination.

On the collections side, you’ll track accounts receivable, follow up with clients on outstanding balances, prepare regular status reports, and process write-offs consistent with firm policies, all while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline workflow.

The ideal candidate is technically skilled, detail-oriented, and confident communicating with attorneys, clients, and administrative staff alike. Accuracy, organization, and initiative are key, along with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Reporting to the Director of Administration and Finance, this individual will play a vital role in managing the firm’s eBilling and collections functions. This role offers a competitive salary range of $65K-to-$75K, plus excellent benefits package, PTO and more. This is an in-person role, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
