The DayBreak Charity Spotlight: Come Join us for the 9/11 Memorial & Museum 5K Run/Walk

The DayBreak Blog, this week featuring: The 9/11 Memorial & Museum. Each of us, in our own way, has a connection to 9/11 and its aftermath, and that includes us. That’s why on Sunday, April 24, we’ll be running and walking together with thousands of others to remember all those killed over 20 years ago and honor the courageous first responders who ran toward danger to save others.

This year’s 9/11 Memorial & Museum 5K Run/Walk will be especially meaningful. Due to COVID-19, the event hasn’t been able to take place since 2019, so this will be the first one since the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The event serves to remember those killed and honor all those rescue, recovery, and relief workers who came to the aid of our city when it needed them most. It’s an event we’ve participated in in the past, and one we look forward to each year.

All funds raised from the 2022 5K support educational programming so that the millions of Americans born since 9/11 can better understand how we responded that day and in the days that followed – with unity, resilience and hope. This ensures that a new generation, and those still to come, never forget.

If you’d like to come together in person and join us on April 24th to celebrate unity and hope in these challenging times, please reach out to our President, Jonathan Sheppard at jsheppard@daybreakstaffing.com, and we’ll send you more info/details about how to join our team.
