NYC Marathon 2018

We Are Doing It Again!

We are excited to have Jon Sheppard, our President and Owner, running his 6th NYC Marathon, and running the whole 26.2 miles for charity. Please consider making a donation to one, or all, of the amazing charities he is running for. See you at the finish line!

CHARITIES WE SUPPORT

Cristo Rey New York High School is a Catholic, co-ed, college-prep school, part of the national Cristo Rey Network. We serve students of all faiths who have demonstrated the potential and motivation to achieve success and who do not have the educational background or financial means to attend another private, college-prep school. Guided by the spirit of care for the individual, cura personalis, we challenge all our students with a rigorous academic curriculum and a demanding work-internship program. Our ultimate goal is that our students will graduate from college and become professionals for others, transforming the world for the good of their families and society. DONATE HERE!

At Goodwill NYNJ, they believe everyone deserves the chance to build a better life for themselves, their family, and their community. With our 57 programs across 30 sites in New York City, northern New Jersey, and the surrounding area, we work each day to make it possible for more than 45,000 people every year to do just that. The programs empower individuals with disabilities, underemployed and unemployed individuals, veterans, seniors, immigrants and refugees, at-risk youth, low-income families, and anyone who may have a barrier to employment. The Goodwill Stores keep over 100 million pounds of usable goods out of landfills each year, reselling donated items to support our programs. DONATE HERE!

New York Cares was founded by a group of friends who wanted to take action against serious social issues that faced our city in the late 1980s. Finding few options to help, they created their own organization to address the problems from the ground up. New York Cares is now the city’s largest volunteer management organization, running volunteer programs for 1,300 nonprofits, city agencies, and public schools. Today’s volunteers share our founders’ vision that we all have a role to play in making our city a better place. DONATE HERE!

OTHER CHARITABLE EVENTS WE HAVE TAKEN PART IN THIS YEAR:

New York Cares Day of Service

This past July we headed to Padre Plaza Success Garden, in the Mott Haven section of The Bronx to help revitalize a local garden so that it can continue to be used for community events. Our entire office was there pitching in, in addition to a few clients! We partnered with New York Cares for this wonderful day of service.

National September 11th Memorial Run/Walk

What a fantastic morning we had walking in the 9/11 Memorial & Museum Run/Walk on April 22nd! We were so fortunate to be a Community Sponsor of the event and to be surrounded by amazing New Yorker’s. What is so great about this event, 100% of all money raised goes directly to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum to sustain the beautiful memorial & reflection pools. The DayBreak Community representing!
